Introduction by Damaris Jarboux
Hello, and welcome to our web site. We have set up this site to serve those who have an interest in the field of Chi Kung Healing and the work that I have developed over 20 years. We hope it will help you better understand what this is, and how to find a Chi Kung (Qigong) Healing practitioner who best suits you.
As my private practice is now full, and I am no longer able to take new clients, I would like to introduce you to these practitioners who have all trained at The Center Place.
The individuals listed here have all completed at least my 4-year training cycle and are now engaged in the Post-Graduate cycle, which is as much a supportive community of Chi Kung Healers as it is an on-going training in our evolving work. This means that they have trained with me a minimum of 2 years (as some cycles can be taken together), and many of them have trained much longer.
All of these practitioners are currently taking clients who wish to have treatment in Chi Kung Healing. It therefore does not include the many wonderful individuals who have trained with me but who either are not currently working in Chi Kung Healing professionally (only with friends and in their extended family circle) or are not taking new clients either.
All of the practitioners have taken my work and training and made it their own, integrating it into their own work. They may have specialties in the field of Chi Kung Healing and other work and, if so, these will be listed. They will let you know how long they have trained with me, how long they have been training in and practicing Chi Kung, and how long they have been in Clinical practice. They will also let you know other necessary specifics - such as how much they charge, how to get in touch with them, and the general area or location of their practice so you can determine who is close to you.
Follow this link for an explanation of what Chi Kung (Qigong) Healing is from a revised chapter that I wrote for James MacRitchie's book "Chi Kung - Energy for Life", published by HarperCollins in 2003, (ISBN 0-00-714568-3).
Best Wishes and Good Chi,
Damaris Jarboux
